For many, joining a gang is not an option, it is more like joining a family and gaining respect and protection. Unfortunately, it is a risky path with so many uncertainties. In memory of my friend's brother Mikey (and all the homies in the spirit world), I'm getting a group together to run Homeboy's 5k on September 22nd (my first 5k). Join me homies, pero no se rajen!

Homeboy provides employment, free tattoo removal, education services and more to former gang members and formerly incarcerated womxn and men who wish to lead productive lives. Many years ago, I accessed their tattoo removal services to remove a wrist tattoo I got at 17 yrs. old. so yes, I can vouch for them.
